Previously a Councillor for this area, with more than 24 years of Council related experience, Bruce has the skills, experience and vital first-hand knowledge to get the job done.

Having been a local resident for more than 40 years, he has the best interests of the community at heart and he’s passionate about representing the people and the beautiful place where he lives and works.

As a true local, he has a deep understanding of the issues that affect residents and as your Division 9 Councillor, his job will be to listen to the needs of the community and represent your concerns with a stronger voice in Council.

Bruce and his wife Heidi live on their Yandina Creek property, where they are thoroughly enjoying raising their children in a natural, rural setting.

Bruce can often be found with his family enjoying the area’s beautiful facilities and engaging with residents at local events. He volunteers regularly for different groups and is also an active patrol member of the Coolum Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, which he is a Life Member.

Bruce supports environmental management to protect and sustain our waterways, beautiful coastlines and natural bushland areas; and believes good urban design is essential to enhance and protect the character and identity of each town.

He is also a firm advocate of sensible growth management to maintain the Sunshine Coast’s envied lifestyle. He fights for sound financial management aimed at providing the highest level of services to residents -- without increasing rates or introducing levies.
